ABOUT DR. KATIE LAW
Dr. Katie Law is an evidence-based chiropractor in downtown Windsor, Ontario. Having grown up in Windsor, she is excited to have roots down in her hometown.
She obtained a degree with Clinical Honours from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College following an undergraduate education at the University of Windsor in the Department of Human Kinetics (Movement Sciences). She also attended McMaster University in the Department of Anesthesiology where she was certified in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture.
Dr. Law’s practice style includes a selection or combination of patient education, spinal manipulation and joint mobilization, acupuncture, muscle release and other soft tissue therapies, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, cold laser therapy, kinesiotaping, and individualized exercise and rehabilitation programs.
In January 2020 she became a GrowCo Ambassador. GrowCo is a postnatal rehabilitation collective that strives to raise the standard of care for postnatal women. Dr. Law, along with her fellow GrowCo Ambassadors, believe that a mother’s healing should go way beyond their 6 week postpartum check-up. She has a passion for helping moms regain their physical activity and heal safely and effectively following childbirth. She may work one on one with moms or host virtual or online series where the pillars include: breathwork (and diastasis recti healing), postural strengthening, core and pelvic floor reconditioning, and gluteal strengthening.
As a primary health care provider, Dr. Law feels that her commitment to her patients often includes collaboration between health care providers, such as their doctor, physiotherapist, or massage therapist, and will refer and work with the appropriate practitioner when necessary.
When not at the clinic you will likely find her around the neighbourhood walking her golden retriever, Lennox, alongside her husband and new baby girl. She loves the outdoors, traveling, home renovation projects, and spending time with her friends and family.
